WHO WILL SURVIVE, AND WHAT WILL BE LEFT OF THEM?

THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE
Directed by Tobe Hooper
Release date: October 1, 1974
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre... where do we start?? Leatherface is on of the most known villains in history. His mask haunts people all over the globe. Sequels and remakes, none are as good as the original.
So, what happens?? It starts with a brother-and-sister team, driving to a grave with three friends. On the way back, they pick up a hitchhiker. He turns out not to be so friendly, attacking the brother (and himself) with a razor. The friends ditch him and continue along to a homestead. Instead they find the residence of a cannibalistic family, lead by Leatherface. Bloodbaths ensue.
Hooper tried to limit the amount of violence on screen to get a 'PG' rating. No such luck.
TCM is a classic slasher flick, and although it looks dated now, it terrified people back in '74.
Enjoy this great fright flick.

Hey guys, welcome to my new section, flashbacks. Basically, each month we take an older horror movie released in that month* and pick it apart.

THIS MONTH...

HELLRAISER
Directed By Clive Barker
Release Date: !8 September 1987
Hellraiser features one of the now most recognized villains in all of cinema: Pinhead. Originally portrayed by Doug Bradley, Pinhead has gained significant status in pop culture.
Hellraiser starts with Frank Cotton buying a small wooden puzzle box in Morocco. When he gets home, Frank takes to solving the puzzle. As soon as he slots the last piece into place, hooks and chains shoot out of the box, tearing into his flesh. The Cenobites, a group of demons intent on torturing their victims, appear. Leader, Pinhead (Bradley) collects Frank (what's left of him, anyway) and travels back to their realm.
What ensues is a fight to fully restore Frank with the blood of others.
The ending is great. If you haven't seen it, don't let anyone tell you.

Hellraiser is a great English fright flick. Watch it in your attic, at night, and have fun!!!!
